The DJ Recording Experience is suitable for anyone who would like to learn how to beat match and build fantastic sets using the latest computer software. In the hands of an experienced and working DJ you are taken through the stages of music selection, identification of the key elements in creating segues and a natural flow of music.

The end results of your day of mixing and beat-matching will be recorded at commercial standards onto a CD for you to take away.

The studio also has vinyl decks available for DJs with a background in vinyl mixing to come and record some of their favourite tracks and sequences.

Songwriter Workshop

A songwriter workshop offers the best of all facilities and a wonderful day of complete enjoyment, particularly if you have always dreamed of writing and producing your own songs. The day caters for comers of all experience levels, and is your own day with just yourself and the studio staff to bring your song ideas or complete songs to a level where they can be cut to CD in a commercial manner. To date, all songwriters arreiving at the Beehouse with an idea have left with a fully produced song, and this is a record we are particularly proud of, bearing in mind that some people arrive with only lyrics, some arrive with only a tune, and one has even arrived with neither lyrics nor a tune, but just a feeling of being "very angry"!

The studio offers help with initial tune isolation, arrangement with harmonies, production to include guitars, piano/ keyboards, bass, drums, orchestration and backing vocals, and will even offer a singer, should you wish it to be recorded by a professional.

A recording studio day for the new recording artist is all about the musical environment. The Beehouse strives to create a recording environment which is relaxed and informal, but at the same time introduce the artist to techniques and technologies which will empower him or her.
So all new artists arrive with concepts of what recording or music production are all about.

An experience may be a vocal performance where they simply sing their favourite tracks -in a singing experience the studio engineer works to develop and maintain a good or even excellent microphone technique. First recordings are often shaky and tuning is often an issue even with very talented performers. this is why our experiences are a minimum of 3 hrs in duration - to give a true experience of a recording session, customers experience the repeats, the edits, the banter accompanied by constructive criticism that all forms part of the artist engineer relationship, and makes for the best product.

An experience may also be where an artist brings his or her own music to the studio. In this case, the experience is much more a meeting of minds. Again, with informality a brief, the musician brings his or her particular skills and allows the studio producers and arrangers to blend in their overview and particular analytical skills and move the finished item towards completion. The most compelling of these is the songwriter experience. So much in a music experience of this type is the result of the way the arranger can relate to the intentions of the writer, and give direction to he new song or composition.

Whether simply for fun or as a part of a career move, we can cater for your needs and work on your tracks to the level you require them - we offer a generous 5 hour gift experience which we have arrived at as the ideal length of time required for a true recording experience - we also offer a 3 hour mini-experience with the possibility of extension, for younger participants or those who only have limited projects.

A recording experience can be great therapy, and our results are highly polished and professional, so your day ends on a high note, and if you have a CD player in your car, you can listen to yourself all the way home!
